The Old Man Mountain (OMM) Pizza Rack is one of three racks in OMM’s core lineup. Unlike the Divide and Elkhorn, which can be used on the front or back of the bike and can accommodate panniers, the Pizza Rack is a front-specific rack with a 13″ wide top platform. The larger platform is better suited for hauling large loads and makes a sturdy base for basket setups or supporting large handlebar bags.
Until today, the Pizza Rack relied on uprights with no additional mounting options, but OMM decided to update it to have three-pack mounts for additional carrying capacity. Now, the uprights look identical to those found on the Elkhorn rack but are apparently a heavier-duty version that contributes to the Pizza Rack’s ability to carry 35 pounds (15.8 kilograms) of gear. The addition of three-pack mounts means you can easily attach cargo cages, bottle cages, or even small bolt-on mini panniers while still using the spacious top platform.
Like OMM’s other racks, the Pizza Rack is available with fit kits for thru-axle and quick-release axle mounting kits and fit kits for bikes without rack mounts. It is made from 6061 aluminum, weighs 943 grams (including all hardware and extenders), and has clearance for tires up to 27.5 x 2.8″ or 700c x 50mm.
