Quebec-based Panorama Cycles just launched an updated version of their carbon gravel bike, the Katahdin. The revisions include a new geometry, build kit, and paint job. Learn more here…

The second generation Panorama Katahdin focuses on increased versatility, only slightly diverging from its roots as a gravel race bike. While the carbon bones of the Katahdin remain the same, Panorama Cycles updated it with a more relaxed geometry that’s based on a longer fork, a slightly slackened head tube angle, and a longer overall wheelbase. The frame also has slightly more tire clearance, with room for 700c x 48mm or 650b x 2.1″ tires. Panorama added an additional water bottle mount, too. And the bike is now tested to mountain bike ISO standards.

The Panorama Katahdin v2 is built up around a carbon frame and fork that are studded with mounting points for cages, cargo, and racks. It features thru-axle dropouts, a threaded 68mm bottom bracket, internal dropper post routing, and still features graphics from Vancouver-based artists (and cyclists) Pellvetica. The redesigned fork is longer with three-pack mounts and a small port for dynamo cable routing. There’s also an access port under the bottom bracket to help with threading cables and hoses.

As ususal, Panorama offers the Katahdin in one well-rounded build kit or as a frameset. The complete build is based around a 2×11 Shimano GRX drivetrain, a Hunt 4Season Gravel Disc wheelset, and 700x40mm WTB Venture tires. Panorama describes the Katahdin as perfect for anyone who rides unpaved roads, is planning to participate in races or gravel events, and enjoys shorter bikepacking trips.

The Panorama Katahdin complete build retails for $3,999 CAD, while the frameset will set you back $2,699 CAD. It’s offered in three sizes and just the one paint job. Learn more at PanoramaCycles.com.
