Park Tool’s Calvin Jones is Retiring

Like many others, I’ve learned much of what I know about fixing and maintaining bikes from Calvin Jones of Park Tool. His warm, insightful, quirky demeanor as the brand’s Director of Education has been steadfast for nearly 30 years—15 of them spent hosting hundreds of videos on YouTube. In a video shared today, he announced that his storied chapter at Park Tool has come to a close.

Calvin’s retirement from Park Tool is the bicycle world’s equivalent of the late Fred Rogers hosting his final episode of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. He’s irreplaceable, and we collectively owe him so much. Thank you, Calvin, for your many years of wisdom and clear guidance, and for always maintaining a calm, steady presence amid a turbulent industry and broader world.
