Back in March, three riders from Medellin took on a five-day bikepacking route through Colombia, pedaling around 500 kilometers with 13,350 meters of elevation gain. The result of that trip is Pasion de Grava, a new short film from Shimano that follows their ride and examines some of the cultural shifts happening in Colombia, and the role bicycles are playing in that change—especially given the country’s deep love for cycling.

The film shares perspectives from the riders and locals alike, and offers an intimate look at some of Colombia’s winding dirt tracks, gorgeous landscapes, and unique cultural beauty. Watch it below:
