The Post Carry Co. Loomer bike bag is designed to haul road and gravel bikes with minimal disassembly. Featuring two sizes, roller wheels, and a variety of storage compartments, it’s a pricey but significant upgrade to a cardboard box. Check out all the details of this new travel box below…
Announced today, the Post Carry Co. Loomer bike bag is made specifically for traveling with gravel and road bikes. The Loomer is a hybrid soft-and-hard case that fits road and gravel bikes without removing the cockpit. With two available sizes, the bag appears to suit a broad range of bikes, with the smaller size said to fit up to a 54-56cm frame and the larger up to a 61cm frame. There is, however, a maximum bar width of just 46cm.
The bags measure 128 x 76 x 50cm for the smaller size and 130 x 82 x 50cm for the larger model, with a total weight of 11.5-13.5 kilograms. Both bags come with two wheel bags, front axle adapters for thru-axles and QRs, and a packing manual. The bags are made of Cordura Ecomade P900D with 210D polyester on the interior, and use molded and corrugated polycarbonate on the sides and base. YKK zippers are used throughout, and when not in use, the Loomer can be folded down to 30cm.
The brand notes that these bags are made specifically for road and gravel bikes, and that mountain bikes will not fit. Despite its ease of use in an airport setting, the Loomer won’t save on travel bag fees, as its dimensions exceed the standards for regular-sized baggage. The Loomer retails for a steep $900 and can be purchased directly from Post Carry Co.
