The new Priority Cycles MOLLE Pannier Rack is a pannier-shaped mounting panel with a MOLLE webbing grid, designed to create a modular cargo platform. Take a closer look at this interesting cargo option here…
Not quite a rack, but not really a pannier, the new Priority Cycles MOLLE Pannier Rack attaches to your rack like a pannier, but gives you a MOLLE webbing grid to add pouches, gear, and anything else you can think to strap to it. At first glance, it might resemble the Relentless Mule Rack Neil reviewed this winter, but the only real similarity is the MOLLE-style attachment pattern. The Mule Rack is a dedicated rear rack, whereas the MOLLE Pannier Rack requires a rack to mount to.
The MOLLE Pannier Rack is made from laser-cut aircraft-grade aluminum. It has a MOLLE lattice grid for securing MOLLE-compatible pouches and bags, as well as 26 threaded bosses spaced for standard bottle cages, allowing you to get creative with cargo cages and other things that mount with bolts. The rack uses standard pannier hardware, with quick-release plastic hooks up top and an adjustable plastic lower hook. A single panel weighs 2.1 pounds (925 grams), which seems fairly heavy when factoring in the weight of the rack it attaches to. The MOLLE panel’s clips fit 10mm rails with the included inserts, and 15mm rails with the inserts removed. Priority states the load limit is 20 pounds (9 kilograms).
The MOLLE Pannier Rack costs $49.95 for one panel, and it’s available now from PriorityCycles.com.
