Looking for flat pedals with more grip? Race Face claims the new Turbine Pedal is built for unmatched grip and a locked-in ride. Bonus points for coming in silver and six other colors. Learn more about the new Race Face Turbine Pedals here…

My usual go-to pedals are the OneUp Composite and Wolf Tooth’s Waveform. Both offer exceptional grip, but now I’m curious about the all-new Race Face Turbine Pedal, which the brand claims is designed for riders who “demand the ultimate locked-in feel on flat pedals.” The Turbine has a 3mm deep concave platform, which they say is the most concave on the market, made to cradle the foot securely, providing an ergonomic platform for superior grip and comfort. The Turbine’s chassis is concave in all directions, which offers a weight reduction of 27 grams over the previous model.

The Turbine Pedal features an asymmetric platform that’s wider at the front to maximize support and improve ground clearance. Its innovative bushing and ball bearing setup eliminates the bearing bulge often found in other pedals, resulting in a larger effective platform. Race Face states that the Turbine’s fully rebuildable internals have endured over a million test cycles with no signs of wear, making it a durable and reliable pedal. Here are the specs from the brand:

  • Large, secure platform: 115mm L x 110mm W
  • 3mm Dual-Axis Concavity: Grip in every plane
  • 11 height-adjustable pins per side: Bottom-mounted for easy removal
  • 20mm max platform thickness (excluding pin height)
  • 6061 aluminum machined body: Durable and lightweight
  • No bearing bump: Improved ergonomics
  • Rebuildable and serviceable internals
  • 419g per set
  • Seven color options: Black, Silver, Kashmoney, Purple, Orange, Red, and Blue
