Ryan and Darin from the Rad Bike Adventure YouTube channel set out to ride the LA Observer bikepacking route. Along the way, they captured their trip in two in-depth videos. Watch them here…

Ryan and Darin are the folks behind Rad Bike Adventure, a 1.5-year bike touring trip turned YouTube channel. The videos the two create aim to share knowledge from their 10,000+ mile bike touring background and inspire others to set out and travel by bike. A couple of weeks ago, they decided to make a three-day trip out of our LA Observer bikepacking route, and they created two videos along the way. Watch them below and then scroll down to learn more about their channel.

The LA Observer route is an easy-access bikepacking escape from the city into its neighboring Angeles National Park via the unexpectedly steep and rugged folds of the San Gabriel Mountains. Reaching over 5,000-feet at times, it offers bits of flowing singletrack and a medley of abandoned dirt roads, set to one sweeping panorama after another. Time your ride right and it also promises the chance to ogle at Los Angeles’ endless sea of illumination at dusk, or even from the comforts of your tent at night.
