Our friends at RAR ATL (the Atlanta chapter of Radical Adventure Riders) is having a kickoff meetup ride party on August 8th and we just tossed in a couple swag bags that they’ll be giving away during the event. Learn more here…

RAR Atlanta (@rar.atlanta) RAR Atlanta (@rar.atlanta) is one of 11 chapters of the Radical Adventure Riders (RAR) established to enhance gender inclusivity and racial equity in the bicycle and outdoor adventure scene for all fitness and experience levels. RAR does this by providing connection, education, resources, and support for the community. RAR Atlanta is having their official kickoff ride and party very soon, and they want folks to join in the fun. To celebrate, we kicked in two swag bags that they’ll be giving away at the event. Each contains a copy of The Bikepacking Journal, a cycling cap, stickers, and patches. Find the official press release on how to attend below.

Please join us for our kick-off event at Wild Heaven Beer West End on Sunday, August 8th.

RIDE: We’ll meet up between 10:30 am and 11 am for intros and coffee at Finca to Filter, located inside of Wild Heaven Beer West End. At 11, we’ll depart on our bikes and ride around the neighborhood for 10-12 miles. This ride is social, no drop, for FTW NB folks only. Let’s get to know each other a bit while chatting about adventure riding, bikepacking, gravel, etc!

Our aim is to roll back to the brewery by 1 pm. We’ll have a ride lead, sweep, and mechanic present. The ride will be beginner pace of approximately 8-10 miles per hour and the route will have minimal elevation. Route to be shared closer to the date.

PARTY: We’ll have food, beer, music, giveaways and a few bikes and camp set ups for folks to check out. Come meet the leadership team, kick it over some food and drink, and have a good time with other FTW NB folks interested in cycling.
