Rawland Cycles just launched two revamped versions of their popular Rando Rack, and both are available to order now. Find details on the new v4 Steel and v5 Titanium racks here…

I’ve been following Rawland Cycles since they launched in Minnesota in 2007, back when they helped usher in the revival of 650B all-road bikes, and the small two-person brand has been a fun one to watch over the years. They packed up and moved out to California about a decade ago, and they’ve launched a handful of new bikes and other hard goods in that time, the Rando Rack among them.

Both Miles and I have been running a version three Rando Rack for some time—his on a Hudski Doggler and mine on an All-City Space horse—and we’re in agreement that it’s an exceptionally well-designed and practical rack that’s sturdy enough for off-road riding and looks great on a variety of bikes. The new Rawland Raido v4 and v5 Racks buid upon the success of earlier versions, incorporating some fresh tweaks for added versatility and offering an exciting titanium version for the randonneur who wants to have it all.

Both new racks are designed to attach to the fork crown and rack mounts, and they’re compatible with disc and cantilever brakes (and some caliper brakes). The platform is 113mm wide by 202mm long (4.5″ x 8″) and has a 101mm (4″) tombstone at the back. They have a maximum load of 10 kilograms (22 pounds), come with all the necessary hardware for mounting securely, and include a limited lifetime warranty. The steel version weighs 287 grams (10oz), and its titanium counterpart comes in at a mere 185 grams (6.5oz). The two new racks are priced at $130 and $300, respectively, and they’re available for purchase today.

You can find more details over at RawlandCycles.com. Additionally, they’re teasing a new titanium frameset, the Rev Ti, and we’ll be sure to share details as soon as they’re available.
