The new Restrap Switch System is a collaboration from Restrap and Hiplok that combines the Yorkshire maker’s bikepacking-focused panniers with Hiplok’s attachment mechanism. For more on this modular pairing, read on below…
The new Restrap Switch System is a collaborative bag and mount system from Restrap and Hiplok. Using two mounting bolts, the Hiplok fitting allows for bags, bottles, and cages to be attached in a plug-and-play-like fashion, provided the intended device has a Hiplok receptacle.

Per Restrap, benefits of the Restrap Switch System are that the multi mount attachment can be fitted to any 64mm-spaced bottle boss and that the attachment design allows for a 3-kilogram (6.6-pound) cargo capacity. While there is further integration coming down the pike, Restrap is currently offering 5L panniers through the Switch System.
Each pannier is made with the same waterproof construction as other Restrap products and features a roll-top closure. Pricing for the Restrap Switch System is £64.99 (€77.99/$119.99) for the panniers with integrated Hiplok mounts and weighs in at 300 grams. The modular Switch Clips can also be purchased individually starting at £14.99 (€17.99/$22.99) and weigh in at 60 grams including all bolts and fittings.

Like all Restrap products, the team in Yorkshire have made an easy-to-understand product overview video to accompany the release of the Switch System. Check it out below:
