UK-based Restrap just redefined their Bar Bag holster system for more distinct bikepacking use cases. Find details of the new sizing and updated hardware here…
There’s been a lot of handlebar harness talk on this site recently, and for good reason. Handlebar-mounted dry bags are a proven approach to carrying gear that works for nearly any bike, no matter the handlebar shape, and dedicated harnesses are a big step up in terms of stability and usability over simply strapping a dry bag directly to the bars.
In the latest update to their established Bar Bag holster design, Restrap differentiates the Small and Large versions more clearly from each other. The Small version drops the top-mounted pouch to make room for aero bars and bar-mounted accessories, with a commensurate reduction in price, for a total volume of 14 liters. The Large version keeps the 3L Food Pouch to bring the volume to a roomy 17 liters, and it comes with a new Hypalon retention system that offers extra security on rough terrain. Both sizes feature the same 100% waterproof 14-liter double-ended dry bag. Finally, Restrap has updated the mounting hardware to use spring-loaded cam-lock buckles for hassle-free, secure attachment.
The 14L Bar Bag is priced at £99.99/€119.99/$148.99 and the 17L at £119.99/143.99/179.99. You can find all the details over at Restrap.com.
