The Restrap Winter Solstice Century 2025 is back and ready to motivate riders to get out for a big ride at the peak of winter. To learn more and get signed up for this biannual challenge, read on below…
The folks over at Restrap in Leeds, UK, are once again asking people to gear up and get out for their biannual century ride. The Restrap Winter Solstice Century 2025 is a motivating challenge that asks riders to get out for a single 100-mile (160-kilometer) ride any time between the 19th and 28th of December for a chance to win some fantastic prizes. Up for grabs this year is a treasure trove of goodies that includes the Restrap Holster bar bag, saddle bag, and frame bag, a £700/$900 voucher from cycling apparel company Gripgrab, a £575/$750 voucher from Redshift Sports, an Exposure Toro 16 front light and Tracer rear light, and a £150/$200 Precision Fuel & Hydration voucher.
Per Restrap, “It doesn’t matter where you ride or how fast you go. What counts is committing to the distance and seeing it through. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, riding with friends, or setting out solo into the wild, this is about pushing yourself and making the most of the shortest days of the year. All participants will receive an email with a link to submit a ride. You have until January 5th, 2026, to submit your ride. If your ride is submitted, you’ll then receive a second email asking you to redeem and order your Solstice Century patch once all the entries are in. It’s that simple!”
Of course, a fun idea that aligns with our riding style is combining the Restrap Winter Solstice Century with our bikepacking challenge, Good Night 2025. The two overlap almost perfectly, given Good Night 2025 starts at the same time and ends just a few days later, on the 31st of the month. It’s a big ask but a fun idea if you’re looking to maximize your winter riding fun!
