Ritchey recently announced a new pair of $599 gravel/adventure-focused hoops that are designed to fit 30-50mm tires and feature some fresh technology. Learn more about the tubeless-ready Ritchey Zeta GX Gravel Wheels here…

Late last week, the team at Ritchey in California announced their newest wheelset, the Zeta GX Gravel Wheels, which were purpose-built for gravel riding and adventure. As they put it, “Since dirt is literally in the blood of Ritchey, it makes perfect sense that the new Zeta GX wheels are designed for durability and to perform in rough and rugged conditions in remote locations or close to home.” Directly inspired by their original Zeta wheels, the Zeta GX version is wider, stronger, and available in 700c and 650b sizes. They’re handbuilt, tubeless-ready, feature Ritchey’s all-new WCS hub with sealed bearings, and have a rear Ratchet Driver hub with 360-degree, 36-point engagement.

Made from 6066 alloy, the Ritchey Zeta GX rims have an internal width of 25.5mm (29mm external) to comfortably accommodate larger tires for mixed-terrain riding, and they’re laced to 28 DT Competition 2.0/1.8 double-butted spokes. Ritchey suggests pairing these new wheels with 30-50mm tires. They’re available with Shimano, SRAM XD-Road, and Campagnolo N3W freehubs, have centerlock disc rotors, and buyers can choose between BOOST and 100/142 spacing. With tubeless tape factory installed, the 700c wheels weigh in at 1840g/set and the 650b wheels come in at 1740g/set. They are priced at $599/€599.
