“Roads & Trails to the 2025 Tour Divide” is a new YouTube series from Justin McKinley, a graphic designer from Colorado with a history of taking on big rides in a manner all his own. For more on this journey to the 2025 Tour Divide grand depart, read on below…
Justin McKinley is a talented graphic designer living in Boulder, Colorado, with a penchant for long, challenging rides. First taking on the Tour Divide in 2023, Justin has a longstanding obsession with finishing the race in a way that honors his commitment and love for everything that encapsulates the legendary ride. Having scratched in both of his prior attempts, Justin is once again taking to the Tour Divide in 2025, bringing us along for the journey to the grand depart for the next four months.
Roads & Trails to the 2025 Tour Divide is a series documenting the specifics of his process with upcoming videos detailing the bike, the preparation, the route, the challenges, and a final check going into the grand depart. Just as he did in 2024, Justin will once again be single-speeding the Tour Divide, albeit on a new drop-bar 29er from Otso he teases at the end of this video.

I have a lot of admiration for both Justin’s work and his dedication to continue to try finish such a gargantuan ride. Having seen some his prior videos, I can tell the route means a lot to him, and it will be cool to see the lead-up and preparation for what is a bucket-list ride for so many in the bikepacking space.
