Salsa has been on a roll with product releases this month. First, they launched the 2025 Salsa Cutthroat, and they followed that with a promising new collection of EXP bikepacking bags, including a nifty holster-style saddle bag and new panniers. Today, they continue building momentum with the new Salsa EXP-R bags.
The Salsa EXP-R bag lineup is aimed at gravel riders and anyone looking to carry the essentials. There are four bags in the collection, and according to Salsa, all focus on stability, durability, and easy access on the fly. Let’s check them out below.
Salsa EXP-R Campion Frame Bag
The Campion Frame Bag is a universal-fit, wedge-shaped frame bag for carrying battery banks, nutrition, layers, and more on gravel rides without blocking bottles. The main body is made from 1000D bluesign-approved Cordura nylon, it has exterior four-way stretchy mesh pockets on both sides, and rain flaps cover the molded-tooth zippers. Salsa EXP-R Fireweed Handlebar Bag
The Fireweed Handlebar Bag is a small day-use bar bag with multiple lengths of daisy chain that allow it to mount either in front of or below your handlebar. Like the Campion frame bag, it’s made from 1000D Cordura, features stretch pockets on the front and sides, has bar spacers, and Salsa includes two straps and a bungee cord headtube attachment. Salsa EXP-R Trillium Top Tube Bag
The Trillium Top Tube Bag is a mid-sized accessory bag that accommodates bolt-on and strap-on setups. It’s made from Cordura, has four-way stretch side pockets, sports a tapered profile to leave plenty of room for your knees, and comes in large and small sizes. The Trillium Top Tube Bag costs $40. Salsa EXP-R Cattail Rear Top Tube Bag
The Cattail is a simple rear top tube bag with removable/adjustable straps, a Cordura construction, and a one-handed molded zipper.
