For 2026, Salsa revamped its storied Fargo model with 32″ wheels, marking an exciting step forward for the new wheel size. The Fargo has been in Salsa’s lineup for nearly two decades, and it feels like a suitable platform for the new wheel size. Like other 32-inch bikes, it leans into the idea that the wheel size lets users roll faster and farther under the same amount of power.
Neil spent some time on the Fargo 32 ahead of its soft launch this summer and shared his thoughts here. To summarize, it carried speed well, rolled over obstacles with ease, and was a great platform for long-distance bikepacking, offering stability and other practical features. On the downside, Neil felt it wasn’t as playful, was slower to accelerate, and, at the time, 32-inch parts were still limited.
When Salsa launched the Fargo 32, it wasn’t officially available to purchase, leaving customers on the edge of their seats. We’re excited to share that the steel framesets are finally available to buy directly on Salsa’s website and through their dealer network. Both versions come in sizes SM-XL, fitting riders as short as 5’2″. The steel frameset (frame + fork) costs $1,799 USD ($2,559 CAD) and is available today. The titanium version costs $3,499 ($4,969 CAD) and will be available later this fall.
32-Inch Components
As part of the release, Salsa has added a selection of 32-inch components that will help you build up your bike. They are stocking front and rear Teravail Circos Wide 32 Wheels ($785), Circos rims, Velocity Blunt 35 32″ rims ($228), and four 32-inch tire options: Teravail Camrock 32 ($95), Teravail Cannonball 32 ($95), Maxxis Aspen ST 32 ($96), and the Maxxis Aspen 32 ($96).
