Slug Bicycles of San Francisco, California, just released a slew of new offerings that include the Slug Gasser titanium hardtail, titanium handlebars, and a new website. For more on what’s new from Slug, dive in below…
Bay Area company Slug Bicycles has a whole host of new offerings, from titanium handlebars to a new hardtail and even a website. They’re a small operation, but that doesn’t mean they’re not packing a punch with the Taiwan-made Slug Gasser and website design that illustrates their unique take on product and the bike industry as a whole.
Slug Gasser
Digging into the hardtail, the Slug Gasser is the San Francisco bike company’s new titanium hardtail featuring external cable routing, accessible geometry, premium 3Al-2.5V titanium, a distinctive 3D-printed yolk, and UDH compatibility. It also has three water bottle mounts, a 31.6mm seatpost, rear rack mounts, clearance for 29 x 2.6″ tires, and an internal dropper port on the lower seat tube.

Terrestrial Ti Handlebars
Available with 0mm or 25mm rise, the Terrestrial Ti Handlebars are an interesting offering meant for long, comfortable days in the saddle. The bars also feature 13 degrees of back sweep, are 780mm wide, have a 31.8 clamp diameter, and are made with 3Al 2.5V Ti. These lovely bars retail for $265 USD.

Sick Slug Site

Their new site is also worth a look, as it’s full of fun GIFs, an interesting “about” section that details the company’s owners, and a slew of other cool, graphic-oriented tidbits that fill out what looks to be a bike brand bursting with potential. Though I’ve just purchased my first hardtail, it seems the Slug Gasser would be something I could get along with quite well. The people behind the smaller, cottage industry are what make the world go round, so it’s nice to see unique, personal flair in both bike and more general design.
