Speedvagen’s new Rugged’er Road is a more off-road-capable version of their Rugged Road platform, with clearance for 700 x 50mm tires and designed around a 30mm travel RockShox Rudy fork. Learn more about it here…

Portland, Oregon-based Speedvagen specializes in high-end handmade bicycles. They have a reputation for being some of the best handmade bicycles in the industry and are paired with equally beautiful components and finishes that are designed to last. Their latest custom model is based around their Rugged Road platform, but with bigger tires and a gravel suspension fork.

The Speedvagen Rugged’er Road has clearance for 700 x 50mm tires and comes stock with a RockShox Rudy Fork with 30mm of travel. The custom 0.5mm thick seat stays are curved to help soak up shock from the road, flexing slightly under load to help create a smoother ride. The frame also uses an integrated seat mast that’s finished specifically for its rider, with a stainless steel top and clean look that also happens to be lighter than a traditional seatpost.

Going custom means each customer gets to choose their paint, every single detail of the build, and can incorporate different features such as dynamo wheels, lights, additional cage mounts, and more. The sky’s the limit! Other upgrades include a custom-painted frame pump to match, custom-sized and painted Honjo fenders, and even custom-painted hubs. Speedvagen also offers a nearly limitless number of custom frame finishing options, from fades to sparkles, and high-end Cerakote finishings.
