Drawing inspiration from classic French rando racks and taking its name from a graceful bird found in Denmark, the Silver Heron is an elegant new front rack from maker Tore Juncher Jørgensen of Starfish Bicycles. Find details on the first small batch here…
Fabricated in Denmark by Tore Juncher Jørgensen, whose amazing upcycled Stumpjumper we featured in our roundup of stunning bikes from Bespoked 2023, the Starfish Bicycles Silver Heron is a versatile and minimal new front rack named after one of their favorite birds in Denmark. It was developed throughout several months of cutting, welding, and bending to find the perfect silhouette with the ideal blend of form and function, and the first batch will be ready to ship later this month.

The Starfish Bicycles Silver Heron is made of polished stainless steel and has classic French rando styling. It uses a three-point attachment system and has an intentionally conservative weight limit of just 3 kilograms (6.6 pounds). The Silver Heron measures 209mm front to back, 112 side to side, and 120mm from the bottom of the platform to the top of the tombstone. It weighs 450 to 500 grams including hardware and depending on leg length; buyers can choose between 300 or 450mm legs to suit their fork. A daruma system for adjusting the legs makes it compatible with just about any bike with a drilled fork crown for the upper mount.
Pre-orders are open now, and you can find more details and buy a Silver Heron for €160 ($170 USD) over at Starfish Bicycles.
