Santa Barbara, California’s Stinner Frameworks was focusing on the launch of their new Romero steel full-suspension trail bike at Sea Otter last month, but they also had a prototype 32-inch gravel bike on display that was equally hard to miss. At the time, they weren’t ready to spill the beans, but we’re happy to share today’s news of the new Stinner Refugio Podium 32.
As the name implies, the Refugio Podium 32 is a totally revised 32-inch version of their Refugio gravel bike platform. It’s built up in Santa Barbara around a titanium straight gauge tubeset, CNC-machined Stinner UDH dropouts, a T47 73mm bottom bracket, and clearance for 32 x 2.4″ tires. It’s compatible only with wireless drivetrains, features internal brake-hose routing, and comes stock with two standard bottle mounts and a third under the downtube.
The Refugio Podium 32 is offered in five stock frame sizes, from medium to XXL. The head tube angles range from 68° to 71.5°, with the seat tube angle and chainstays stable at 74° and 455mm, respectively. Custom geometry is available at no extra cost. It’s designed around a 490mm axle-to-crown, and Stinner is including a compatible full-carbon fork with three-pack mounts, fender mounts, post-mount brakes, and 110 x 15mm hub spacing with every frame or complete build purchase.
