Virginia-based Swood Cycles just released the first round of handmade light mounts for their T-Bar handlebar bag support. Find details on the new T-Bar Light Mount here…
If you haven’t seen it yet, the Swood T-Bar is a steerer tube mounted rack/bag support based on an original design by Tom Robinson of Hesson Labs (@hessonlabs) in the UK. Last spring, Stephen Wood at Swood Cycles took over US production as a workaround for shipping restrictions from the UK. The rack is handmade in Richmond, Virginia, constructed from stainless steel, and is rated for about 12 pounds.
For folks using the T-Bar and looking for a place to mount a front light, Swood just launched the new T-Bar Light Mount. It’s a stainless steel arm that mounts onto the horizontal bar of the T-Bar and provides a place for clamp-on front lights. At the lower end, there’s a 5mm hole for direct-mount dynamo lights and a 6mm hole for a Paul Components Gino mount for attaching standard handlebar-mounted lights.
The light mount attaches to the T-bar via a shaft collar that tightens around the T-bar with an included 7/64″ Allen key and can be mounted on either side. Currently, the light mounts are only offered in a raw stainless finish, but you’ll need to select what finish your T-bar has as the powder coating increases the diameter of the tubing.
The Swood T-Bar Light Mount costs $30 USD and is available now from SwoodCycles.com.
