The SyCip x SimWorks JJJ Bar is an updated offering from the Portland-based brand that features two unique ways to utilize the design. For more on this handlebar collaboration, dive in below…

The SyCip x SimWorks JJJ Bar is a swept-back flat bar designed in collaboration with frame builder Jeremey Sycip. Focused on more off-road riding, the JJJ Bar was derived from the commuter-focused JJ Bar—a set of handlebars born from a DIY e-bike project Jeremy and his friends built up for fun cruises and barbecue-oriented adventures in the mountains. Given the brand’s desire to spotlight and work with local builders and designers, they’ve updated the original design for 2025. Expanded for modern widths, the bars feature 20mm of rise, a 54° grip angle, a width of 720mm, and a 31.8mm clamp diameter, filling what SimWorks says is a perfect middle ground between their Ramble and Getaround bars.

Made from heat-treated aluminum, the JJJ Bar can also be flipped upside-down for a slightly racier feel. Either way you use them, these flat bars seem like a solid addition to a growing lineup of products capable of turning any modern bike into a more casual cruiser. The bars are available in black or polished silver and weigh an average of 440 grams. They are manufactured by Nitto in Japan and retail for $145 USD via SimWorks.
