Trinidad-Las Animas County just released a pocket-sized Gravel Adventure Field Guide that’s packed full of maps, historical and cultural information, and more. Check out their launch video here…

The new Trinidad-Las Animas County Gravel Adventure Field Guide was developed by the City of Trinidad, Colorado, to assist visitors wanting to sample the 1,600 miles of county roads that are accessible right from downtown. The 64-page field guide is packed full of helpful information for those looking to explore the nearby gravel, including 11 different routes that range from 25 to 100 miles, detailed narratives, and original artwork.

The guide will be available at bicycle shops along the Colorado’s Front Range and into northern New Mexico, as well as at merchants in downtown Trinidad. You can find the complete list of merchants at BackshopBikes.com or online at GravelGuide.BigCartel.com. Check out the launch video below.

If you don’t know Trinidad-Las Animas County, the area holds a lot of bikepacking potential, especially if you mix in some of the rides outlined in the Field Guide. Options include climbing up to Cordova Pass, riding out toward the grasslands east of town, the National Forest around Monumental Lake to the west, and some options closer to the town of Trinidad.
