Just relaunched in its third iteration, the Wanderlust Gear Piñon Handlebar Pocket is now fully padded and even more versatile. Find all the details and Wanderlust’s product launch video here…

Texas-based Wanderlust Gear just updated their Piñon Handlebar Pocket to better function as a standalone handlebar bag instead of simply an unstructured handlebar roll pocket. Other than switching from X-Pac to Cordura fabric, the new Piñon Handlebar Pocket is fully padded to help keep its shape and has a daisy chain on the back for use as a minimal handlebar bag or as an additional pocket. Wanderlust also claims that the new design could work well as micro pannier, too.

The Piñon Handlebar Pocket features a water-resistant YKK zipper, elastic mesh side pockets, an internal pocket for maps and documents, a key clip, and shoulder strap loops. It’s also fully lined for easy cleaning and better weather resistance. Although the Piñon isn’t fully waterproof, the design is meant to be more durable than the previous model, which is what Wanderlust sees as being more important. There’s also a reinforced mud/tire guard on the base of the bag to help protect the Cordura body. The Piñon is offered in two new colors: Black/Grey and Clay/Goldenrod, and is priced at $65 USD.
