Washington

Weekend Snapshot

By Ashley Teifke

While many head to the newly snow-covered Cascades with their skis and snowboards, we decided to go the opposite direction and hop on a ferry to the San Juan Islands. We were rewarded with quiet country roads and a completely empty campground for the night. Shoulder season riding certainly has its perks.

White Mountains, Alaska

Weekend Snapshot

By Aaron Wilbur

Crossing Beaver Creek on my way back from a night of camping out in the White Mountains Recreation Area; it was about 10°F and lightly snowing. The trails were well groomed with 2-3″ of fresh snow on top, making for a slow but steady day of pedaling. I saw a few people out on Saturday but had the trails to myself all day on Sunday.

Western Australia

Weekend Snapshot

By Janet North

A scene from a spin along the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail in the Perth Hills, which offers easy access to Mundaring and the northern terminus of the Munda Biddi Trail.
