Peru

Absolute blast on the Pastoruri Glacier Road, far from any cars and noise.
Newfoundland, Canada

Had the privilege of riding behind Angus Young while he took on the Eastern Divide Trail in its entirety. This itself gave me a much-needed confidence boost. Taking off from Cape Spear on August 2nd left me struggling to get across the second segment, as Canada pretty much shut down people from going into the woods. Luckily, I was able to finish the first segment before being pulled out by rangers just north of Sydney on day eight. Seeing Canada this dry was very discouraging; it’s such a luscious and beautiful country. The hospitality and generosity of its people made it much more enjoyable despite all the challenges of having to reroute through the second segment.
Alps, Italy

Met up with BIKEPACKING.com co-contributor Joe Cruz and immediately found great resonance as we cycled, walked, and talked our way into the mountains from Torino. Climbing beyond Col de Colombardo, conversation then thought faded as the fog imposed pure presence, in which words are simultaneously too much and too little. A smile, a nod—quality time.
