Cairngorms, Scotland

This is one of my favourite spots to camp in autumn. Near the confluence of two burns (streams), the colours change each visit, and the soundtrack of the water is very relaxing. After a stunningly clear starlit night, I spent a leisurely couple of hours waiting for my tent to dry from the overnight dew before a lovely ride back down through the autumnal forest.
East Kootenays, BC, Canada

A wonderful overnighter with a fun crew of 12. Beautiful backroads and a punchy hike-a-bike took us to a rural property to camp, featuring a sauna and wood-fired hot tub. After a morning of coffee and fire-cooked pancakes, we rode another series of backroads and doubletrack back to town.
Almaty, Kazakhstan

Home to the top of Serkebay Peak at 2,200 metres in around three hours. Woke to a whiteout, and then the sun burned through to reveal the stunning cloud inversion and the Shymbulak Peak. So happy to be in Almaty!
