We love seeing what you’re up to, and Weekend Snapshot has painted a little portrait of our readers and their rides for nearly four years running. In this final installment from 2025, we tag along for outings in Utah, Mexico, and Florida. Find this week’s scenes below, followed by a roundup of related posts and a quick form you can use to share something from one of your adventures.
Oaxaca, Mexico
By Logan Watts
We set off to Ixtepeji in Oaxaca’s Sierra Norte for an unconventional Good Night 2025 overnighter. More on that soon, but a highlight was riding with Adam and Larita on some of the network trails. When not running her precious heart out on short stints of singletrack, Larita helped pilot Adam’s old Norco Sasquatch in her cozy BXB captain’s seat.
Utah, USA
By Stephen Fitzgerald
A trip to Utah in December reminded me that the desert has secrets and surprises beyond my imagination. These crystalline frost gardens tend to grow in the shade, where the sun can’t scorch them. If conditions are right, some of the ice formations can grow in size over multiple days and be nearly as large as a hand. I was so taken with them that I spent at least an hour lying in the dirt and ice, fiddling with my camera, and trying to somehow capture their essence in an image; a fool’s errand if there ever was one.
Florida, USA
By Nic Morales
Bikepacking in Florida always brings up complex feelings. Its beauty seems endless amid the palm fronds and pine scrub, but it’s a feeling constantly interrupted by new developments and highways. This weekend, I tried to remind myself of its natural wonders.
