Oregon, USA

We spent three days riding a loop around Mount Hood using Lolo Pass and the Barlow Wagon Road to connect into the very northern tier of the Oregon Timber Trail. It was a beautiful mix of smooth country lanes, chunky forest road, and proper singletrack with endless views of Mt. Hood and a half dozen other Cascadian volcanoes!
Etela-Savo, Finland

A hot and wet May overnighter on the alternate version of the Mäntyharju-Repovesi Trail. Hot because the sun was shining and making us sweat the whole day on the trail-heavy route and rollercoaster profile cruising through pine and birch forests. Wet because after arriving at our camp spot, we rewarded ourselves with a refreshing swim and chilled on the pier. Great riding, good food, a lovely swim, and lake-cooled beer capped off with a good sleep in our tents—just what we needed.
Waitaha, Aotearoa (Canterbury, New Zealand)

When severe weather warnings scuppered our plans to ride the Old Ghost Road, we took the opportunity to head into Ka Whata Tū o Rākihouia Clarence instead. The Seaward Kaikōura Ranges managed to avoid the worst of the weather, with strangely high temperatures and balmy winds for the final weekend of autumn.
