Sweden

Weekend Snapshot

The Swedish Safari 300 route pushed us through long stretches of wilderness, where the silence was broken only by the sound of our tyres on the trail. Evenings ended with camp set up under a sky that barely got dark, and mornings began early, coffee brewing as we packed the bikes again. Stockholm marked the start and end of the journey, a calm and beautiful city that felt like a world away from the remote paths we had crossed. It was a trip that reminded us why we keep chasing the open road on two wheels.

Weekend Snapshot

By Joaquin Valdes

I was a bit nervous as we took off on our first-ever family bikepacking trip. Did we pack enough toys? Would the kids like our freeze-dried meals? We’re no strangers to mountain biking with children and have had countless car camping adventures together, but never bikepacking. Turns out I was nervous about nothing. We had an amazing time biking from Hopkins through Excelsior (ice cream stop!) to Carver Park Reserve for an overnighter. We slept with the fly half on and enjoyed time in nature. The next day, we reversed the route and stopped in Excelsior again for brunch.

We’ll be selecting three photos per week to feature in Weekend Snapshot. Send yours along for consideration, and if it’s selected, we’ll be in touch! Note: We prefer 3:2 ratio landscape-oriented photos.
