A nice spot for a snack after climbing up to the top of an old ski resort in the Ore Mountains of northwest Czech Republic. This was right before a rowdy descent to a craft brewery in the middle of an old mining town. Not a bad surprise!

While scouting a reroute for the famous “Ruta de Los Seis Miles Norte” in northern Argentina – as Paso Socompa is closed indefinitely – we rode through an amazing landscape of sandstone cliffs, deserts, and abandoned train stations to the mining town of Tolar Grande.

Lenggong, Perak, Malaysia

Riding across Lake Raban after passing the Lenggong UNESCO world heritage site en route to Gerik. The old road brought us through ancient rainforest with small villages scattered along the path. The lake was the last flat section before the route started serving up rolling hills and big climbs on our bikepacking trip from Kuala Lumpur to Bachok, Kelantan.
