Our new Weekend Snapshot series continues with another batch of photos from backyard rides, campouts, and more from our global community of bikepackers. In this installment, we check out three takes on riding (and pushing) in the mountains. Arizona

Los Nevados, Colombia

We knew riding through the Colombian Páramo would be one of the highlights of our stay in Colombia, but it exceeded our expectations. Climbing up to about 4,150 meters above sea level was tough, but cruising through this magnificent landscape made it well worth the effort! Our initial plan was to camp right in the middle of this remarkable ecosystem, but we felt that our bodies weren’t yet acclimatized enough, so we descended back into the jungle on the other side of the mountain. After a nasty puncture, we ended up relaxing in some hot springs. Can’t think of a better way to end a hard day of riding!

I took this photo after a light snowfall this past Sunday afternoon on the outskirts of beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico. I was out doing a scouting research ride for a my next winter overnighter and found this stunning overlook. Can’t wait to come back and spend the night here!
