We travel to an unexpected mix of locales for this week’s installment of Weekend Snapshot, showcasing a trio of rides from our readers in the Western US, Australian Capital Territory, and East Coast of the US. We invite you to join them for a moment by taking a glimpse at their trips below, then keep scrolling to submit a snapshot from one of your recent rides at the bottom of this post.
Parashant National Monument, Nevada

Namadgi National Park, Australia
By Stuart Potter (@oldsteelguy)
My third bikepacking visit to Namadgi National Park to ride the Old Boboyan Road, taking in a bunch of Kosciusko Hutsa Association huts in the process. My previous visits were in the winter and spring of 2021, so it’s been a hot minute, and this was my first summer trip. After all the rain through winter and spring, the place was absolutely blooming with grasses and wildflowers, and buzzing with march flies! They weren’t enough to spoil the serenity of this beautiful national park that’s just a stone’s throw from Australia’s capital city, Canberra.
New Jersey

Usually, the weather in Jers this time of year is total crap, but this weekend was money as far as January goes. Here’s a photo of the homie Dan test riding “the ugly bike,” which belongs to my boy Steve who was taking a whiz in the shrubs when I took this photo.
