This morning’s edition of Weekend Snapshot highlights off-road rides from readers in England, California, and British Columbia. See what a few folks from our global bikepacking community got up to over the weekend and find a form to share a shot from a recent ride here…
We travel to northwest England and two distinct spots on the western coast of North America for today’s Weekend Snapshot to catch of a glimpse of three reader-submitted getaways. Whether soaking up beautiful weather, braving the cold, or landing somewhere in between, all three riders got out to maximize their time away on the bike. Check out all three trips below, then continue scrolling to submit a photo from one of your recent rides at the bottom of this post.
British Columbia, Canada
By Tristin Walker (@derailed_adventures)
I decided to head out for a solo trip along the Cowichan Valley rail trail. The cold temperatures didn’t stop me from having a great time and enjoying the ride. I loved all the trestle bridges and lush green forests along the way.
Cheshire, England
By Steve Makin (@north.west.coast)
Here in the north west of England, we’re starting to feel that winter is letting go. After what seems to have been the longest January ever, the temperature is rising and the days are lengthening. Fingers crossed this photograph from just south of Manchester might be one of the last black and whites until late autumn, and those Fuji greens can be digitalised once again!
Santa Catalina Island, California
By Kevin Hays
We spent a few days living the high life, cruising from beach to beach on Catalina Island. You spend most the time climbing or descending, but the views are worth it. Yes, we got in the ocean. And yes, it was cold!
Send Us Your Weekend Snapshot
We’ll be selecting three photos per week to feature in Weekend Snapshot. Send yours along for consideration, and if it’s selected, we’ll be in touch! Note: We prefer 3:2 ratio landscape-oriented photos.
