We go from chilly to warm and back again in today’s installment of Weekend Snapshot, following three folks from our worldwide community on their spring bikepacking trips around Vermont, Spain, and Colorado. Take a peek at their weekend escapades and share a scene from one of your recent rides here…
Today’s edition of Weekend Snapshot provides local weather reports from three observation stations where spring is arriving at different speeds. We catch up with riders on a sunny bikepacking trip through Spain, a wintry weekend group ride in Vermont, and a moody midday spin in Colorado. Find all three below, then use the form at the bottom of this post to submit a shot from one of your recent trips for inclusion in a future edition of Weekend Snapshot.
Spain

A scene from a recent trip along Spain’s ruggedly beautiful GR247 hiking/bikepacking route through some of the most beautiful mountains south of Madrid.
Vermont

The Analog Cycles Fifth Season Ride began with the low rumble of fat tire bikes and giddy conversation between strangers. The skies were ominous, but once pedaling the cooler air felt great. Starting a ride cold in late March holds more hope than doing so in the early months of winter. The joy of freewheeling down hills and taking in the slowly unfolding landscapes immediately distracted me from the subtle leg burn. I enjoyed seeing the variety of bicycles around me, each one a portrait of its owner in some fashion.
Colorado

A quick shot from a moody day in Colorado’s Arkansas Hills. Winter still has a firm grasp on the region, and the snow has yet to stop.
