In this morning’s Weekend Snapshot, we recap another mix of reader-submitted rides and campouts in three countries. Find a quick look at weekend adventures in Canada, France, and the Northeastern US here…

Today’s Weekend Snapshot takes to an overnight route beyond Calgary, Canada, a quiet pond outside of Strasbourg, France, and a road called Lover’s Lane in beautiful Vermont. See what three readers from our worldwide bikepacking community were up to below, then keep scrolling to share a scene from one of your recent rides and explore some related posts from the archive.

Alberta, Canada

Weekend Snapshot

By Bryce Webster

Grabbed this photo near the Sibbald Lake campground, just west of Calgary on the Bragg Creek – Sibbald Lake Overnighter route provided by prominent local route-maker, BikeBike (Calgary-based bike shop and purveyor of bikepacking gear). The fall colours are just starting to pop, making for some great views.

Strasbourg, France

Weekend Snapshot

By Yannick Furgal

For two Sundays in a row, Lucille and I cycled to the Vogelau Pond, less than 10 kilometers from our apartment in Schiltigheim, near Strasbourg, France. In Strasbourg, nature is never far from the city. It’s a seldom-frequented place, little known to the people of Strasbourg. We arrived in the early evening, put down our bikes, and settled down by the water to chat, admire the scenery, and read.

Ever go for a ride with a buddy and they bring you down Lover’s Lane?
