We head to India, Canada, and Germany for today’s Weekend Snapshot, where we join three readers for rides around their home areas. Take a glimpse at what some folks from across our global community were up to over the weekend and use the short form to share an image from one of your recent rides here…
As usual, our readers were out on two wheels over the weekend, and we’re showcasing what a few of them saw in today’s installment of Weekend Snapshot. This time around, we’re transported to three continents to tag along for local rides in Central Canada, southern India, and eastern Germany. Browse all three below, then keep scrolling to find a brief submission form and some related posts from the archive.
Ontario, Canada

Deep in the bush of Shabaqua, Ontario, crossing the Matawin River during a ride west of Thunder Bay. Sometimes, the map shows a road but neglects to mention that all the bridges have been removed!
Bangalore, India

By Ashwin S.
After having done a few rides, including a couple of 110-kilometre runs north of Bangalore along pre-planned routes over the last weeks on my hybrid bike, I decided I would do a rather aimless, meandering ride on my MTB in my backyard. The ride led me to discover a whole series of millet farms and unfamiliar roads and villages. After getting lost and going around in circles a few times, I turned on navigation on Komoot and was pedalling towards a point that I was familiar with. Not the greatest tarmac and a shade of grey that would be less out of place in a fantasy world than outside busy Bangalore!
Germany
