Keeping up their momentum of regular bike, part, and accessories releases since the brand was founded in late 2021, Wilde Bicycle Co. from Minneapolis, Minnesota, just debuted another model, the Wilde Rambler SL, which they’re positioning as a drop-bar all-rounder for gravel rides, light touring, and everyday life. It features the full treatment of rack/fender/bottle/cage mounts, big tire clearance, and more. Plus, because it’s made in batches in Taiwan, the Rambler SL is available at a relatively approachable price point compared to the flagship US-made Earth Ship model they launched with. Dig in below.

Wilde Rambler SL

Continuing a fine tradition of do-it-all bikes with utilitarian features, the Wilde Rambler SL balances a gravel race geometry and a quick-handling front end with a lowered bottom bracket and longer chainstays to smooth out the ride and offer added confidence when descending over loose terrain. It has a high stack height for a more upright position that helps keep riders comfortable during long days.

The frame sports three-pack mounts on the top and bottom of the down tube, a set of bottle bosses on the seat tube, mounts for a bolt-on bag on the top tube, plus rack and fender mounts. It’s built with Wilde’s double-butted TLC (tough, light, compliant) chromoly tubing and has a 68mm BB shell, straight 1 1/8″ headtube, and room for 700C x 50mm or 650B x 2.2″ tires. It’s paired with a Wilde Wayfinder fork that has three-pack mounts on both legs, internal brake/dynamo wire routing, fender mounts, a fully threaded crown mount, and slightly larger clearance for 700C x 2.1″ or 650B x 2.3″ tires. Both the frame and fork have 12mm thru-axles and provisions for flat mount disc brakes.
