UK-based Windover Bikes is a new boutique bike brand that’s kicking things off with two handmade steel frame models and a carbon fork. Learn more about the Windover Bostal and Beacon here…

Established by three experienced members of the UK frame building scene, Windover Bikes is a new bike brand with a passion for gravel and off-road riding. At the heart of Windover Bikes is their frame building shop in Worthing, Sussex, where all frames are currently built with Reynolds 853 dual-zone butted tubesets and finished with bits from other trusted UK brands, including Hope, Rideworks, and DCR Wheels. Once demand picks up, they have plans to expand their operations into the EU with a partner that shares their values.

Windover Bikes is kicking things off with the Beacon and Bostal models. The Beacon is an MTB-inspired adventure bike that “offers mountain bike capability at gravel bike weight and efficiency,” according to Windover. The Bostal is an all-road drop-bar gravel bike that’s designed to be dependable and enjoyable on a wide range of surfaces. Find details on both below.

Windover Beacon

The Windover Beacon is a true ATB. It’s inspired by the mountain bikes Windover grew up riding. It’s perfect for big rides on varied terrain where you might not need suspension or dropper posts (although it can handle both). The Beacon is built up around Reynolds 853 DZB steel tubing, has clearance for 29 x 2.5″ tires, boost hub spacing, rack and fender mounts, and three bottle mounts on each frame. It’s designed to run Windover’s Type 3 carbon fork, which has Anything Cage mounts on each leg and a 415mm axle-to-crown length, making it easy to swap out for gravel suspension forks from RockShox, Fox, or Lauf.

The Windover Beacon is available as a frame-only for £1,499, a frame + fork for £1,799, or as a frameset (frame, fork, BB, headset, seat clamp) for £1,999. Full builds are also available upon request, and anyone interested should contact Windover directly. Check out the Beacon here.

Windover Bostal

The Windover Bostal is inspired by the team’s local rides, which include steep climbs, rough gravel, and muddy byways. The Bostal is a drop-bar gravel bike that’s designed to be suitable for commuting, touring, and ultra-endurance events. It’s built using the same tubing as the Beacon, has 700 x 50mm tire clearance, and all of the same mounting points for water and gear. It has internal cable wiring, uses a T47 86.5mm bottom bracket, and sports an adjustable offset carbon fork designed specifically for the Bostal.
