Our pals at Wizard Works in London just announced the latest addition to their line of handmade bikepacking bags, the Pelagazam Rasket Bag, a custom version of their popular Alakazam Basket Bag (designed to fit the Wald 137 or 139) that was reworked to fit the Rasket front rack/basket hybrid from Helsinki-based Pelago Bicycles (@pelagobicycles).
The new Pelagazam has an impressive capacity of 18 up to a whopping 61 liters, making it a super versatile size for running errands or loading up your basket for a glampacking expedition, and its simple G-buckle attachment system allows you to get it on and off in seconds for use as a shoulder bag with the included strap. It also comes with two “pizza straps” for lashing larger items over the top of the basket. Inside, foam padding on the lower section adds a bit of cushion to protect your cargo, and a one-piece floating liner helps keep contents dry.
Harry and Ve at Wizard Works will be sewing the first batch of Pelagazams during the first week of December, and orders for this first run close on November 28th. These are custom bags, and buyers can choose their colors. You can save 10% on bags in this first batch by using code “radrasket” at checkout.
The Wizard Works Pelagazam Rasket Bag sells for £215 ($289) including UK VAT or £179.17 ($240) excluding VAT for international customers. It weighs around 750 grams and is available in a variety of material combinations (Cordura, X-10, X-25, VX-21, X-50). Learn more over at Wizard.Works.
