Created using upcycled fabric from suits worn by civil responders, Wizard Works recently collaborated with RÆBURN on a trio of responsibly made bikepacking bags. Check out the RÆMADE Voila stem bag, Lil Presto barrel bag, and Framemoof frame bag here…
What started as a peeler suit—a coverall garment used by civil responders and police—has been transformed into a limited collection of traceable, responsibly made, and ultra-durable bike bags from UK-based Wizard Works and RÆBURN. Designed with VanMoof frames in mind but able to fit a broad range of bikes, the trio of bags is constructed from a compact-weave outer layer backed by a breathable membrane and a blend of kevlar. As such, they take “hardwearing” to a new level and are waterproof, fire-retardant, and tear-, cut-, and abrasion-resistant.
For this limited run of bags, sewn by Wizard Works in London, each peeler suit was transformed into 17 bags. According to the brands, which are working together for the first time, “These RÆMADE bags embody the spirit of reinvention, innovation and most certainly collaboration.” You can find details on all three products below.
RAEBURN Voila Stem Bag
The Voila is a stem-mounted pouch that provides easy access to everyday items such as drinks, snacks, and keys. Designed and made from mostly upcycled and deadstock fabric in London, it features a one-handed opening/closing system, multiple mounting options, a floating liner, and daisy chain webbing. It measures 17cm high by 12cm wide, has a 0.7L capacity, weighs 110 grams, and comes with two RÆBURN Velcro straps, a cordloc strap, and a camloc strap. The RÆBURN Voila retails for £65 ($73).
RAEBURN Lil Presto Barrel Bag
The Lil Presto is a charming burrito-style handlebar bag that mounts to any bike and is made to hold day-ride essentials such as a light layer, point-and-shoot camera, and repair kit. Designed and sewn in London from upcycled peeler suits and deadstock 300D water-resistant polyester, the RÆBURN Lil Presto features a one-handed zipper pull, recycled HDPE structure, Voile Nano Strap attachment system, elastic bungee up front, and YKK Aquaguard zippers. It includes two Voile straps, a cordloc strap, and six foam bar spacers. It measures 22cm by 14cm, has a 2.15L capacity, weighs 250 grams, and is priced at £85 ($95).
RAEBURN Framemoof Frame Bag
Designed to fit the new VanMoof S5 but able to work with a variety of frames with a horizontal top tube, the RÆBURN Framemoof is a sleek triangular bag that’s made to haul heavier items such as a coffee outside kit. As with the other bags in the collection, it’s responsibly designed and constructed in London, and it features inner foam padding, recycled HDPE structure, RÆBURN velcro straps, mil-spec mesh pockets, daisy chain webbing, and a YKK Aquaguard zipper. It measures 28 x 32 x 35cm, has a 2.6L capacity, weighs 215 grams, and is made from an upcycled peeler suit and deadstock 300D water-resistant polyester. The RÆBURN Framemoof costs £95 ($107).
