The 2024 Atlas Mountain Race was full of surprises. Heavy rain in Morocco meant a delayed start, antsy riders, and uncertainty about whether the event would happen. After a 24-hour delay, the race eventually took off, following a challenging 1,300-kilometer route along gravel, singletrack trails, two-track, and old colonial pistes.
This was Josh Ibbett’s second Atlas Mountain Race, and he finished in eighth overall. As usual, he shot video footage during the race, and Ryan Le Garrec edited it into a single 22-minute video, which you can watch below. After that, scroll down for Josh’s rig and gear check videos, where he talks about the prototype aluminum Mason hardtail he was riding and everything he used for the event.
