Set in the rugged Pamir Mountains, The Not Knowing is a new short film that follows riders Christian Meier and Peter Gaskill of The Service Course on an eight-day ride through Tajikistan. They wind their way through the Wakhan Valley, over the Khargush Pass, along the Pamir Highway, into the Bartang Valley, and beyond.
We’ve published several pieces from Tajikistan on the site in recent years, but the impressive cinematography in The Not Knowing does an exceptional job of showcasing the country’s remote and incredible beauty. Watch the film below, along with a small gallery of still images from the trip.
The Service Course Tajikistan Gravel Tour
In June of this year, The Service Course will be leading its inaugural 10-day guided trip along the route depicted in the film, from Dushanbe, Tajikistan, to Osh, Kyrgyzstan. You can find additional details about the Tajikistan Gravel Tour and The Service Course’s other guided trips (including Girona, Oslo, and Tuscany) at TheServiceCourse.cc.
