After eight years living in Andorra and Spain, ex-pro road cyclist Svein Tuft has set out on a series of adventures to reconnect with the mountains of British Columbia and the wilderness he explored in his younger days. In 7mesh’s second episode of Reconnecting, Tuft follows the gravel gold into the high country of the Cariboo, a remote and diverse range of landscapes in the Coast Mountains that boasts some of the best gravel in the world. Tuft meets up with ex-pro mountain biker Kelly Servinski, owner of Tutti Gravel Inn, a bike-friendly bed and breakfast nestled in the historic town of Clinton, BC. Watch it below and scroll down for a photo gallery from the ride.
“One of the best things about this route is that big contrast from the wet coastal woods to the high open country of the Cariboo.”

“I don’t really care about all that lightweight, aerodynamic crap. It’s just trying to fit as much stuff as I can on my bike to make the trip go by perfectly.” -Svein Tuft
