Lakes ‘n’ Knodel 2026

The unsupported bikepacking adventure Lakes ’n’ Knödel has taken place annually since 2024 in Austria’s Salzburger Land region. In 2025, the riders started their adventure on Monday, September 8th, 2025, in Fuschl am See. This year, the adventure will start on Monday, September 7th, 2026, in Fuschl am See.

Organizer: Lakes ‘n’ Knödel is a 725k / 14,000hm unsupported bikepacking event, showing you the beauty of the alps and its mountain cuisine in remote and gorgeous spots.

Start-Location: Fuschl am See
Finish-Location: Surprise, close to Bregenz.

Date: Latest till 13. September 2026

Cycling uphill with the goal of reaching an alp for a tasty Knödel is a beautiful motivation.
The start will be in Fuschl am See, switching borders from Bavaria to Tyrol, back to Bavaria, and finishing in Vorarlberg.
