The Plateau Passage Pursuit is a 1,200-mile team bikepacking odyssey from Durango to Las Vegas…
The Plateau Passage Pursuit is a 1200-mile team bikepacking odyssey across the iconic landscapes of the southwestern US from Durango to Las Vegas. The route travels across 4 states and through-or-near 7 national parks/monuments. Overall, you’ll ascend 120,000 feet and be riding on surfaces that are 80% unpaved and 20% single-track. Expect limited water, several hundred miles between repair shops, plenty of heat, and spiky, tire-puncturing, plants. Suffice to say, you should be well prepared and ready to suffer. Finishers will have achieved the tour of a lifetime.
Hard enough yet? Well, there’s a twist. This is a “team pursuit” which means you’ll be pairing up with a few other riders. As a team, you’ll start on any day you like. The challenge will be for everyone to finish together on October 2nd in Las Vegas.
The Plateau Passage Pursuit is a fully self-supported ride. There will be no sponsors, medals, or timing chips. Instead, your entry fee is a donation of time or money to a charitable cause of your choice.
See you in Vegas, baby!
