Day Across Minnesota is a gravel race from midnight to midnight—240 miles of Minnesota gravel roads by bicycle in a single day…
Racers and their support crews will check-in at the historic Buffalo Ridge Resort on Friday, August 9th between the hours of 5pm and 11pm. After that, our racers will line up on Gary, South Dakota’s main drag for a mass midnight start signaled by a fireworks display.
Each racer will then have the next 24 hours to navigate our 240 mile gravel course, or 48 hours to navigate our 480 mile gravel course…by paper cue sheet or GPX file. Your choice. There will be three DAMn markers along the way (one roughly every 60 miles) to help you with navigation. Racers are permitted to bring their own support crews. However, DAMn support can ONLY be received from your support crew at up to 3 designated checkpoints. Double DAMn support can ONLY be received from your support crew at up to 6 designated checkpoints. This is on your honor. There will be unofficial support opportunities along the route, critical for racers who attempt to complete The DAMn or The Double DAMn unsupported.
To officially finish and earn the title of ‘DAMn Champion’, a 240 mile racer must reach our Hager City, Wisconsin finish line within 24 hours and a 480 mile racer must reach our Gary, South Dakota finish line within 48 hours. Do you have what it takes?
Registration opens on Saturday, January 6th 2024 at 8am CST. Visit www.the-damn.com for more information.
