UK-based Cotic Cycles just announced the latest version of their ultra-versatile gravel / all-road bike, the Escapade. Although the frame’s geometry and overall specs remain the same, Cotic has introduced two new colour options, front and rear thru-axles, and a completely redesigned cable management system they call Inside Out, allowing for a mix of internal and external cable routing, depending on rider’s needs and preferences. Their frame is made from custom butted Fe heat treated Chromoly steel, with their signature Ovalform top tube and wishbone stays. The Escapade Gen4 still comes with their RB5 full carbon fork, complete with flat mount brakes, a tapered steerer tube, and clearance for up to 650b x 50mm tires (47mm on the frame).
Although features like mounts for racks, fenders, and multiple bottles all remain the same, the Escapade now comes specced with Cotic’s new Valley bars, providing a 46cm width and 15° flare for better off-road control and comfort.
Cotic offers nine different build options, ranging from £1,299 to £2,574, but if you’re looking for a completely custom build they can offer that as well. The two new paint jobs, as pictured, are called Supernova Orange and Dark Grey. Find a breakdown of the different standards builds below.
