Just announced, Surly has updated the 2020 Ice Cream Truck with a new component group and a creative coat of paint. Check out all the details and photos here…

In true Surly fashion, the Ice Cream Truck sees a creatively named new paint job for 2020—Prickly Pear Sparkle. But that’s not all, it also gets an updated component group, including the brand new Shimano SLX 12-speed drivetrain. Although not much else has changed, the Ice Cream Truck did see a complete redesign just last year. Changes included swapping Surly’s MDS dropout system for a simpler, and more affordable universal sliding dropout, opening up an array of drivetrain and hub options. To better suit trail riding, the chainstays were shortened from 450mm to 440mm, but the sliding dropouts allow room for adjustment if you want things a bit longer. Surly used a 30.9mm bent seat tube to accommodate the massive tire clearance (up to 26×5.1″) and added in stealth dropper post routing as well. Check out the complete component list below.
